Pinot Noir | The vines are spread over four different climats; 'Les Babillères', in the south and at the base of the village (on the Vougeot side) constitute the main part. The other climats are: 'Les Chardannes', 'Aux Croix' and 'Aux Combottes' | in totaal 1 ha | Anne maakt hier de wijnen | gerijpt op barriques, 15% nieuw hout | veel structuur en donker sap | kruidig en aards met diepe zuren | absolute klasse! 

Sigaut

Anne en Hervé Sigaut bezitten 7 hectare in het kleine pittoreske maar zo bekende plaatsje Chambolle Musigny. Sinds een aantal jaren wordt hier de stap gezet voor topkwaliteit druiven te telen. Er wordt geploegd met een paard en er wordt gewerkt volgens de maankalender. Weinig tot bijna geen interventie en nieuw houtgebruik. Veel oude stokken in bezit. Ook volgens de internationale pers een van de absolute topdomeinen in de Bourgogne.

Review

Aromas of cherries and berries, complemented by hints of clove and cinnamon, introduce the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village, a medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping wine with a lively core of fruit, powdery tannins and succulent acids. This is a touch less ripe than some of the domaine's premiers crus, but in 2019 that only lends it a slightly more restrained, middleweight profile, which plenty of readers may prefer. 89/100 William Kelley
